VR's creative limitations are a lot like the early internet's. GeoCities VR is an exploration of the limitations technology places on our effort to create worlds for ourselves.

Isabel Donlan and I created a world that leverages the creative limitations inherent in a VR game engine like Unity. We recreated the aesthetic and feel of the early internet with gifs from GeoCities sourced from the Internet Archive. These act as links to dive deeper from world to world.
