Serena is a design-oriented technologist with over 10 years of experience in new media and communications, with over 5 years as a Creative Technologist and Interactive Developer. Currently the Creative Tech Lead at Havas, Serena’s diverse background in engineering, media studies and human- centered design enables her to work across design, dev and strategy teams to meaningfully and creatively engage with emerging technologies.

Prior to joining Havas, Serena managed luxury fashion campaigns at the New York Times, where she also worked on the launch of the Men’s Style section. As an independent creative technologist and interactive developer, Serena has designed, engineered and installed an interactive storefront installation for Google x Levis at Kinfolk in Brooklyn, built a custom iOS app for Skirllex, and redesigned Spectrum Cable’s digital and tangible interfaces.

Her work has been featured at the Tribeca Film Festival and at Fast Company’s Innovation Festival. Serena holds a BA in Media Studies from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction from ITP at NYU.
